500th Anniversary of the Reformation Celebration!

October 29 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mark Your Calendars – A Time to Celebrate
Nothing is more bleak and hopeless than to be burdened with the false claim that a right relationship with God will only happen if you do what God wants you to do. Sadly God’s own church in 16th century Europe had gone silent about the real truth of God’s salvation which points all lost sinners to God’s saving action in Jesus Christ. Praise God that 16th century reformers such as Martin Luther went back to Scripture and boldly countered their church’s false teaching by redirecting the church to God’s gracious and loving action in Jesus. Because of their bold preaching, teaching, and writing we continue to rejoice in 2017 that our relationship with God is all about what God has done in Jesus. We do nothing! It’s all about Jesus who lived for us. It’s all about Jesus who died for us. It’s all about our Lord drawing us and gifting us with Christ-centered faith and declaring that our sin-stained lives are now covered by the righteousness of Jesus.

We will celebrate Martin Luther and other 16th century reformers’ leading God’s church to focus on the main thing, God’s saving action in Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 29 with a combined festival worship service at 10:00 am. Please plan to attend this special celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
