Midweek Lenten Worship
February 14 @ 7:00 pm - March 21 @ 8:00 pm
Gathered by the waters of Babylon, Judean exiles wistfully wondered: Is God for real? If so, does He really care about us? What does our future hold? Will this ever change? God’s people had watched their world shatter into a million pieces. They were demoralized and disillusioned. Their disaster looked terminal. In our lowest faith struggles we echo the Judean exiles with the same question, “Will God really deliver on what He has said?
When Israel’s history seemed closed and hopeless, the Lord promised through the prophet Isaiah that He would stir up a king named Cyrus and a new exodus would explode in the desert. God the Father would then proceed to send His Servant Son who would suffer and die not only for the sins of the Judeans but for the sins of the whole world.
You are invited to join in our mid-week Lenten worship series which begins Ash Wednesday, February 14 at 7 p.m. as we focus on the theme: “Singing With The Exiles”. May the Holy Spirit bless us as we learn from Isaiah to walk the Lenten way to the cross and to the empty tomb. God promises to turn our weeping into joy and our present pain into an endless Alleluia!
