Psalm 145: 1 – 2, 15 – 16
What better way can we launch our Thanksgiving celebrations than to take the time this evening to praise and thank our Creator and Sustainer who, from the time He brought our first parents into this world, generously and faithfully has provided for all He has created? In a world that extols independence and self-sufficiency, we are not ashamed this evening to publicly declare our ongoing dependence on our Heavenly Provider. May the Holy Spirit lead us to pause from our hectic lives to identify just how involved our Lord has been in providing for us this past year. May His goodness prompt our praises and our thanksgiving.
