Standing in Prayer

“Standing in Prayer”

Lenten sermons by Martin Luther provide the themes for our Lenten worship as we stand together at the cross. When a Canaanite woman asked Jesus to heal her daughter, Jesus did not immediately do so. But hidden beneath his “No” was the Savior’s “Yes,” and the woman’s daughter was healed. This week in our Lenten worship we will explore the “Yes!” imbedded in the heart of Jesus. Today, we gather to worship our Savior Jesus Christ, the “Yes!” to all the promises of God. When the time came for him to go to the cross, out of obedience to the Father and for the sake of our salvation, Jesus answered, “Yes!”
